Bead Photography Tutorial

Getting Ready

This photo was inspired by the teddy bear. I passed by the mirror one day when I was getting ready and caught a glance of the bear. So I took this shot. It was pretty ackward, because I wanted to be close to the mirror to get my self off the focus as possible. I had to aim to the mirror and focus on the teddy bear. Plus I don't want my arms shown in the shot, so I hold the camera up high. And I'm pretty happy with the result. :)

Love is a Losing Game

Have you heard this song by Amy Winehouse? It's a slow, haunting song, combined with Amy's unique voice, it's beautiful but very sad. Be careful not to listen to it on the day where you are feeling really down especially because love's suck. Cause this song will just make you cry, might even push you over the edge.

Lovely Gerbera at Niagara

Hey, it rhymes! ^__^

When I take photos of flowers it usually involved a photo cube and some proper lighting. That's why I love this particular shot, nothing fancy involved. This flower was on our table when we were dining at this restaurant facing the falls at Niagara. I couldn't help myself, I had to take pictures. The trick was to do it discreetly, so the other tables won't assume I was a Japanese tourist who take pictures of everything. ^__^

And a good cropping made it simply lovely, don't you agree?

The Pink Cake

Not in the mood to write anything. Just.. I made a cake and I frost it pink. Just because. Doesn't look too nice but trust me, it tasted great. ^__^

Pretty Saree

I’m so fascinated by India jewelries and Saree lately. Been collecting cute colorful fashion jewelries and about 10 days ago I ordered embroidered Saree online. It arrived today, the package is not as heavy as I thought, which is good. But I was disappointed a bit soon as I opened the package, the color is way off than it’s photo. And there’s no pink in it at all as shown in the photo, just red, yellow and green. Also the color in photo is so much brighter, where the actual fabric is muted. It’s a beautiful thing still, and lately I’ve been learning to let go, and focus on the bright sides instead, it makes my life happier. So… Good things: I still save a lot of money by buying direct from India, they shipped it fast, and I got free stiching service for the top, they give me cute package of bindhi (forehead jewels), and plus, they include a DVD on how to wear the saree. I mastered the skill within 2 minutes after watching the DVD, so proud of myself! ^__^

Shrimp Balado Stir Fry

This is for the very hopeless cook like me. LOL! Cause it's super easy to make.

Ingredients: 1 Pkg of cooked Shrimp, 1/3 jar of the Balado instant, Blue Band margarine, Salt & Pepper, 1/2 tsp of instant Garlic.

How To Make: Heat 2 tbs Margarine, saute the Shrimp till golden brown, put some Salt and Pepper. Put aside. Heat 1 tbs of Margarine, saute Garlic for 5 seconds, toss the Balado instant, stir for 3 minutes, add some water, atir, add the Shrimp. Stir for 3 more minutes. Serve with rice and sliced Cucumber for the Balado seasoning is pretty hot. Easy peasy!

My Face On A Book Cover!

About a year ago, my friend , Raggy Adam from DeviantArt asked me if he could use one of my stock photo for a book cover tender. Of course I said yes. I would love to be in a book cover! Yes yes yes! :D So after a few months, I found out from him that the image was accepted. Yay! Oh, the book title is: Dyah Pitaloka, Korban Ambisi Politik Gajahmada. Yeah, it’s in Indonesian. Back in January ‘08 I went to Indonesia. I found the book in one of the biggest book store in Jakarta! Wow! I bought several, to give to my family and friends, hee hee.. It’s not everyday I become a book cover model you know. ^__^
